Moeller Controls Ltd (MCL) was registered in 1978 as the sole representative in Kenya of Klockner Moeller GmbH Bonn Germany. It was formed to popularize the products of this top, large German switch and control-gear company. This relationship lasted, until the German company was bought by the American company Eaton. Moeller Controls Ltd are an approved distributor for Eaton products.

G.F. Corvin Ltd., (GFCL) was established in 1968. Its main function was to introduce Klockner Moeller products to Kenya. It held the Klockner Moeller sole distributorship for Kenya from 1970 to 1978 at which time the distributorship was handed over to the above MCL. GFCL is a registered Class A electrical contractor and their installation work is to the highest industrial standards. It is also a KEBS certified panel builder. Their panels are manufactured to the highest German standards of workmanship. The technical sides of the two Companies are run by two graduate electrical engineers with long “hands-on” experience in many branches of engineering. They are familiar with many industrial and agricultural processes and applications. For example, the modernization of many controls and switchgear at Kenya Breweries, at several sugar companies, and the automation of the then old fashioned tea industry were done by them. Some of the panels, in regular use, built 40 years ago, are still in perfect condition.

Both Companies concentrate on helping local industry with their wide experiences, ranging from installing and commissioning of a 60MVA, 132kV transformer to electronic instruments. Both Companies stock a wide range of often hard-to-get quality components. They also run training courses in various areas of engineering.

Moeller Controls Ltd and G.F. Corvin Ltd have two European-qualified and trained graduate engineers who also worked in Europe in several fields of practical engineering. They trained our staff over the years. All work in the workshop is supervised.
